Chef Monday Thomas and his wife Sarah opened the Talking Drum Restaurant in 2004. Recognized as one of Tulsa’s top ten new restaurants, The Talking Drum offers a unique array of African and Caribbean cuisine. The Talking Drum is an African term representing a meeting place. In Africa, when one beats the drum, it echoes, calling people to the drum to see what is going on. The Talking Drum Restaurant is definitely a place to meet and eat.

Traditional meals such as Chicken Piri-piri and Salmon Caponata are only a few of the options available at the restaurant. Their food is known to nourish the body, mind and spirit.
